European Union (EU) policy advisor Javier Solana will speak with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni in Israel at the end of his four-day Middle East tour, which began Sunday in Egypt. His office said his objective is "to encourage all parties to work for a successful outcome of the [Annapolis, Maryland] conference and to set in motion a new political dynamic leading to peace."
Solana is scheduled to travel to Ramallah on Tuesday to speak with the Palestinian Authority (PA) negotiating team and will visit the EU police mission and American-funded training center in Jericho.
