Army soldiers Monday morning arrested two Hamas legislators in Ramallah and Bethlehem, according to Arab sources. The IDF has not commented on the report.

Maryam Salih told the Bethlehem-based Ma'an news agency that soldiers surrounded his Ramallah home, confiscated his computer and arrested him. Khalid Tafish was taken into custody at his Bethlehem home, two months after he was freed from prison. Two weeks ago, the IDF arrested another Hamas lawmaker in Hevron.

The army has been cooperating with the Palestinian Authority (PA) to clamp down on Hamas leaders throughout Judea and Samaria in an effort to prevent a military takeover, similar to the Hamas coup staged in Gaza in June.
