Dr. Yaron Zelicha, the General Accountant in the Finance Ministry and a prominent whistleblower, has informed his confidantes that he is considering resigning in the next few days, according to Ynet. Finance Minister Ronny Bar-On has been trying to fire Zelicha for several weeks, thus far unsuccessfully.

Zelicha's employment contract expired recently, but he was granted a temporary protection order from State Comptroller Micha Lindenstrauss which left him in office. The Attorney General asked Lindenstrauss to reconsider the matter, and Lindenstrauss was expected to reply in the coming days.
