The accident-ridden Ben Gurion airport suffered another black mark Thursday evening when an El Al plane collided with a stack of cartons that had been left in the docking area as the plane approached the terminal. No one injured, but one of the plane's engines sustained damage.

Ben Gurion has been plagued by several accidents and near-accidents on the ground, prompting Transportation and Road Safety Minister Shaul Mofaz to put into action a plan to erase its bad image among international airlines.
