Knesset Member Shelly Yechimovich , who quit as a television and radio journalist to run for the Knesset, has charged that the media is controlled by "Ashkenazi males."
Speaking at a conference at a media conference in Sderot, she said that although Israel is multi-cultured and darker-skinned people are in the majority, "on the screen, you see only whites. This is media monopolization.'
She added that "the entire elite is of the same color with the same agenda. Who strike at Ben Gurion airport? Who cleans the bathrooms, but who is interviewed--those who are delayed with their suitcases."
