(IsraelNN.com) The pro-Israel community is "slumbering as Israel drunkenly stumbles toward the abyss" of the planned Annapolis, Maryland conference, in the words of Steve Goldberg, the national vice president of the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA). He warned that the Olmert administration is preparing to retreat "with only minor modifications to what Abba Eban called the Auschwitz borders of 1967."

Goldberg blamed the Bush administration, Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert for "the scripted scenario of Israel's surrender."  Goldberg added, "History teaches that the only result worse than the failure of the Annapolis summit would be its success."
