Academic leaders presented to the Knesset Education Committee Monday a plan that might put an immediate end to the 14-day strike by lecturers and staff. The proposal calls for reimbursing strikers for erosion in their wages in return for a resumption of classes.
Committee members accepted the proposal, which now awaits the agreement of other university and government agencies.
