Seventy percent of the money spent by shoppers during their week lands in the cash registers on Friday although only one-third of shoppers buy on the same day, according to a survey published by the Hebrew news site NFC.
The same poll also showed that almost two-thirds of shoppers walk out of stores with more than they intended to buy. Fifty-three percent use a prepared list, and 76 percent prefer to buy in large stores where a large variety of items can be found under the same roof. Only 39 percent said they patronize stores according to the cheapest prices.
