It appears a competition has developed between rival terrorist groups in northern Gaza who all claim responsibility for Thursday morning's Kassam rocket attack on the western Negev.

The latest group to claim the "credit" is the Al Aksa Martyrs Brigades, sponsored by Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah faction.

Earlier in the day, the Islamic Jihad's Al Quds Brigades and the Popular Resistance Committees' Salah al-Din Brigades each claimed responsibility for the barrage, most of which landed in open areas.  Three exploded in the city of Sderot.
