Chief Sephardi Rabbi Shlomo Amar and Chief Ashkenazi Rabbi Yona Metzger plan to meet with the Anglican Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams on Wednesday. The meeting is one of a series of meetings meant to increase the understanding between Jews and Anglican Christians.
The Archbishop and the rabbis held their first meeting last year, and focused on regional peace and related issues. The group met again in July and agreed that both religions denounce suicide and homicide in the name of religion.
