At least 27 police officers, seven residents and three MDA paramedics have been injured in riots in the Druze/Jewish town of Peki'in overnight Monday and early Tuesday.
The medics were wounded when their ambulance was attacked by the angry mob.
One female police officer was said to have been held hostage by residents, but police say she sought shelter in the home of a retired police officer who lived in the town and that she eventually made her way to safety.
