Several scattered raindrops may fall in northern Israel Tuesday, but they are no indication that the dry spell is over. Weather forecasters predict that dry weather will continue at least until next Sunday, while water authorities are anxiously waiting for the first rains and hoping for a wetter than usual winter.
Temperatures Tuesday and Wednesday will be 22 degrees (72 F) in Jerusalem, 26 (79 F) in Tel Aviv and 27 (81 F) in Be'er Sheva. The thermometer will rise on Thursday but then drop a bit.
