Public Security Minister Avi Dichter and Canadian Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Minister Stockwell Day met on Monday in Canada.  The two said they would hold negotiations with the goal of signing a mutual homeland security cooperation agreement.

The two ministers agreed to a temporary agreement in which three teams will work on Israeli-Canadian security cooperation.  One team will focus on fighting terrorism, another will work on border security, and the third will work towards cooperation on crime fighting techniques.
