(IsraelNN.com) Minister of Strategic Affairs Avigdor Lieberman, the head of Yisrael Beiteinu (Israel Our Home), said Saturday that any future peace agreement with the Palestinian Authority should be based on a transfer of populations as well as a land transfer.  If Israel does not transfer some of its Arab citizens to the PA, he said, it could “create a situation where the Palestinians will have one and a half states and the Jews will have one half.”

Lieberman said his population transfer proposal was particularly important in light of recent announcements made by the Supreme Follow-Up Committee for Arabs in Israel.  The committee has called on Arab citizens of Israel to destroy the Jewish nature of the state and has worked to prevent young Arabs from participating in state programs such as civil service as long as Israel remains Jewish.
