      State Comptroller and Ombudsman Micha Lindenstrauss has advised Attorney General Menachem Mazuz that he has completed his probe of charges that Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is guilty of criminal violations involving the sale of the government's shares of Bank Leumi. Lawyers in Attorney-General Mazuz's office intended to return the file to Comptroller Lindenstrauss, a retired justice, but he sent them a telegram indicating that the Prime Minister may have been involved in criminal conduct.   
       
      --The American Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is investigating claims that the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) improperly made a deal with a ranking Democrat in the House of Representatives Intelligence Committee. TIME magazine reported the probe, while The New York Times stated that the investigation was opened but not being pursued.
