Mufti: No to Jewish Prayer on Temple Mount

According to the Jerusalem Post, former Mufti of Jerusalem Ikrema Sabri recently said that Jews must not pray on the Temple Mount.  “No Jews have the right to pray at the mosque,” Sabri told the Post.  “If the Jews want real peace, they must not do anything to try to pray on Al Aksa.  Everyone knows that.”

Sabri repeated claims that no Jewish Temple had stood on the Temple Mount, saying the idea that a Temple had stood there was a “Zionist trick.”  The Kotel (Western Wall) is “just the western wall of the mosque,” he said.
