Freed Arab Terrorist: Israel Not Ready for Peace

Israeli prison guards' reactions to the riot by this week by 1,000 terrorists at a Negev jail prove that Israelis are not ready for peace, according to Sary Al Qawa, formerly detained in the Ketziot prison. He also is chief editor of a Gaza daily and was a first cousin of Yasser Arafat.

He criticized the guards for killing one terrorist and injuring 15 others in the riot, which also caused injuries to 15 prison guards after they tried to inspect terrorists' beds for weapons and plans for escape. "The world should have no illusions about the intentions of Israel regarding peace. Israel wants Palestinians to accept the occupation and denounce any form of resistance while it continues its expansionist plans," he said.
