(IsraelNN.com) The Palestinian Authority (PA) plans to launch a lawsuit in French courts against a French company that has contracted to build part of the light rail system in Jerusalem. The PA claims that areas of the city where the system is being built are in its territory. "The light rail system is a means for expanding the Israeli settlement on Jerusalem," the PA stated.

The suit is the latest step in a campaign to lay claim to all of Jerusalem that was restored to Israel after the Six-Day War in 1967. PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas lately has taken a more insistent stand that the PA will not settle for any compromise and that the Western Wall is a Muslim holy site.
