The government budget for aliyah will be 200 percent more than last year, Immigration Minister Ya'akov Edery (Kadima) said Monday. The increase will provide three million shekels ($750,000) for supporting aliyah and hundreds of organizations, such as Nefesh B'Nefesh (NBN).
He cited non-government groups as providing a bridge for new immigrants trying to settle in the Jewish state, where the way of life is vastly different from their native countries.
