Release of Amir Photos May Have Been Timed for Brit

On Thursday, Israeli news media featured newly released 12 year old photographs of an "arms cache" found in Yigal Amir's house after the confessed murderer of Prime Minister Rabin was arrested.

One TV reporter noted that the timing of the photos' release "was not coincidental," without elaborating. The release seems to have been timed to evoke hatred for Amir, who requested the right to be present at his son's upcoming brit (bris, or circumcision) and was denied it.

The photos supposedly showed explosives prepared by Amir and his brother Haggai for blowing up a car bomb next to Rabin's motorcade.
