19-year-old Tomer Ben-Simon from Haifa was indicted on Thursday for a series of neo-Nazi attacks. He is accused of shouting “Heil Hitler” and then physically attacking a 77-year-old woman. He is accused of attacking a second woman as well.
Ben-Simon is also accused of vandalizing several cars in his neighborhood and of setting fire to a sukkah belonging to a local synagogue. In each incident, he engraved or painted neo-Nazi slogans and Satanist symbols.
Police found several neo-Nazi songs and other propaganda on Ben-Simon’s personal computer. Despite initial suspicions that Ben-Simon might be legally insane, he has been found fit to stand trial.
