Sgt. Ben Kovani, who was killed in the IDF anti-terror operation in Gaza Wednesday, will be laid to rest at 3:30 PM Thursday in Hadera's military cemetery.

He was critically wounded after a bullet fired by a sniper hit him in the spine during a fierce firefight near Khan Yunes. He was evacuated to an Israeli hospital and succumbed to his wounds shortly after arriving in the emergency room.

According to the IDF, Arabs fired from guns and shot an anti-tank missile at the Israeli force. The IDF retuned fire, killing one of the Arabs and wounding several others.
