Syrian officials have admitted that Israel bombed a nuclear device in Syrian territory several weeks ago.  A Syrian representative said Tuesday at the United Nations that reports according to which the target was a nuclear device were accurate.  Syrian officials previously claimed that Israel attacked an abandoned army base or an agricultural facility.

The representative admitted the presence of a nuclear device on Syrian territory during a meeting of the UN Disarmament Commission.  He accused Israel of aggression for targeting the facility.
