Sephardic religious Shas party chairman Eli Yishai warned U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice in Jerusalem on Sunday that Prime Minister Ehud Olmert will risk his coalition government if Israel is pressured into giving up any part of Jerusalem to the Palestinian Authority.
"If they come back with a declaration of principles on the core issues, it may threaten the stability of the coalition,” said Yishai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry, Trade and Labor, referring to next month’s Mideast summit in Annapolis, Maryland.
