The Second TV Channel Authority decided that spots for a public campaign against dividing Jerusalem may not be aired since they are "political" in nature. Local radio stations were instructed not to touch the subject.

The TV spots, with the slogan "If I Forget Thee – for Jerusalem's Future," are sponsored by an amuta (a not for profit group). The Second Channel Authority determined that the campaign is political and thus must not be allowed into state affilliated channels.

The amuta denies being political and is threatening to file a libel suit.
