(IsraelNN.com) Police in Kiryat Malachi received a tip on Sunday night informing them that a large number of metal pipes were present on a farm on Moshav Azrikam.  When police arrived at the scene on Monday morning they found several dozen iron pipes, worth a total of NIS 1.5 million.  Police suspect that the pipes were stolen from areas near Ashdod, Holon, and Bat Yam.

Investigators explained that the pipes were taken to the farm and then sold at extremely low prices, sometimes one tenth of market value.  Other stolen equipment was found on the farm as well.

The owner of the farm said he had rented the space to an Arab man from an area controlled by the Palestinian Authority.  Both the owner and the Arab renter were arrested and taken in for questioning.
