Arab terrorists shot and lightly wounded an IDF officer during a counter-terrorist operation in the Balata community near Shechem shortly before dawn Monday. No other injuries were reported.
The officer was treated on the scene before being taken to a hospital where he is listed in good condition. The IDF has been conducting several search missions in the Shechem area the past several weeks, uncovered several explosives laboratories and arrested suicide bombing cells.
