Knesset member Aryeh Eldad warned on Sunday that southern Israel will become a war zone if the government does not respond to the escalation in rocket attacks aimed at the western Negev by Gaza terrorists.
“If the government fails to respond…under the pretext that Sderot residents will get used to Katyusha rockets as they did to Kassams, it is tantamount to allowing the south to become a war zone,” charged the National Union-National Religious Party MK.
Gaza terrorists from the Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) fired a Grad-type Katyusha rocket at the town of Netivot earlier in the day. The missile has a range of 20 kilometers. Netivot is located 11 kilometers from Gaza.
