An Arab man with Israeli citizenship was lightly injured on Monday night while driving near the Arab village of Marda in the Shomron. The man hit a line of large stones placed in the middle of the road by local Arabs. He was transported to an Israeli hospital while suffering from chest pains.
Residents of Marda have used similar rock traps twice in the past two weeks in an attempt to cause Israeli drivers to crash. One trap was found and removed before causing injury, while a second caused a car to overturn, lightly wounding two passengers.
