Report: PA Will Demand International Mediators (IsraelNN.com) The Palestinian Authority (PA) will call for an international authority to supervise PA-Israel agreements, a long sought mechanism that Israel previously has rejected, according to the Hebrew newspaper Ha'aretz. PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas has campaigned for a international body since he took office almost three years ago. Previous third party involvement, mainly involving the United States, has resulted in continuing Israel concessions in implementing agreements without corresponding steps by the PA. Previous agreements have required the PA to dismantle the terrorist infrastructure and to halt incitement against Israel, but Fatah terrorists and hate lectures calling for attacks on Israel remain common in the PA. ![]() Sign up for new Daily Israel Headlines: One page – All the news © A7 Syndications - This article may not be republished freely.
