United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon visited Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni on Sunday in a sukkah built for her in New York City.  Ki-Moon praised the Sukkot holiday during his visit, calling it “a celebration of harmony and tolerance between all religions.”  The holiday “represents what the UN wishes to achieve,” he said.

Livni hosted several other senior officials in her sukkah, including ambassadors, foreign ministers, members of the United States Congress, and Christian and Muslim religious leaders.
