Vandals desecrate the Jewish cemetery in Hevron, apparently overnight Friday, residents of the city said. Many of the markers in the cemetery were broken while others had anti-Semitic slogans sprayed on them. In addition, the “Menuchat Rachel” Beit Medrash at the site was damaged, with mezuzot ripped off their doorposts and holy books ripped up and pages strewn across the floor.

Police have opened an investigation.
