"If Israel dares to carry out a reckless step vis-à-vis Syria it will pay a heavy price," a senior Hizbullah official has told an Arab-Israeli newspaper. Ahmed Mali, a member of the Lebanese Islamist militia's "diplomatic council," told Nazareth-based Kul el-Arab that Israel must not even think about attacking Syria, because then Hizbullah will retaliate with force.
"I believe things have changed," Mali was quoted as saying. "The time in which everyone feared Israel's threats is over. The Zionist entity knows better than everyone that the price of this kind of recklessness will be harsh, and the Israelis know the price better than everyone."
