Labor Knesset Member Ofir Pines-Paz joined other legislators' criticism of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert Monday afternoon and labeled him "the serial target of investigations." Earlier in the afternoon, Attorney General Menachem Mazuz announced that he has ordered a police probe against the Prime Minister on suspicion of fraud and bribery by buying a house in Jerusalem for less than market value.
MK Pines-Paz, considered the conscience of the Labor party, stated that the probe "places a heavy cloud" over the government.
