Guards Ban Kids' Shirts with Pictures of Jailed Dads

Knesset guards Monday forced children of Jewish prisoners to change their shirts because they bore pictures of their fathers. The fathers were convicted to various lengths of prison terms for involvement in attacks on Arabs. The children and families of the Jewish prisoners met with Public Security Minister Avi Dichter (Kadima) to protest the government's freeing of Arab terrorists, while leaving their fathers in jail.

Public Security Minister Dichter said he distinguished between Arab terrorists and Jewish prisoners. He also told the families that he is not the address for their complaints regarding the refusal to allow the Jewish prisoners to leave their jail cells for family visits.
