IAF Jets Alerted Over Syrian Plane Up North Reported: 21:36 PM - Sep/22/07
(IsraelNN.com) IDF sources reported Saturday night that a battery of air force planes had been dispatched to the northern Galilee earlier in the day, in the midst of the Yom Kippur fast - because a plane that Israeli radar had been tracking on the Syrian side suddenly disappeared.
Fearing that the Syrians had sent a stealth fighter to invade Israeli airspace, a squadron of planes were dispatched and the area was put on alert for an attack.
