MK Ze'ev Elkin (Kadima) slammed Vice-Premier Chaim Ramon's statements about his diplomatic negotiations on behalf of the government. "I completely reject the ideas outlined in Minister Ramon's letter," Elkin said. "I strongly object to any plan to divide Jerusalem or relinquish control over the heart of the Jewish nation."

MK Elkin, a senior member of the Kadima Party, said the ideas are "completely contrary to the founding principles of Kadima like east is to west."

He added that he and "many like-minded individuals within the party" will fight with all their might against the idea.
