Chaim Ramon Conducting Negotiations to Divide Jerusalem

Vice-Premier Chaim Ramon wrote in a letter Tuesday that he is negotiating on behalf of the government with Fatah.

Ramon said that the position of the government is that Jerusalem is to be divided along demographic lines and that parts of the Old City and Temple Mount will be relinquished to "special sovreignty."

The Prime Minister's Office confirmed that Ramon is overseeing negotiations.
