Court: Former MK Bishara Can be Stripped of Citizenship

(IsraelNN.com) The Supreme Court ruled Tuesday that Israel's Interior Minister has the ability to revoke the citizenship of former Knesset Member Azmi Bishara (Balad).

Bishara fled the country during an investigation into espionage charges, including aiding Hizbullah during the Second Lebanon War.

The Shurat HaDin Israel Law Center has declared that it will file a request with the Ministry of the Interior to revoke Bishara's citizenship, along with that of fellow Israeli-Arab MKs who go on illegal visits to Syria.
