According to Roni Kobrovsky, a senior official in the Manufacturers Association, Israel exported food to 90 countries in the first half of 2007. Sales of food totaled $435.9 million, 20% more than during the same period in 2006.
The biggest importer of Israeli food products was the United States, which purchased approximately $46 million of Israeli food in the first half of 2007. The greatest growth was in exports to Russia, which increased by 47.5% to $28.9 million.
