The IDF has announced that the Erez Crossing, north of Gaza, will remain open Wednesday until 4 p.m. and then will be closed during the two-day Rosh HaShanah holiday. The crossing will operate next week between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. and will close again next Friday at 12:30 for the Yom Kippur holiday, which begins in the evening and throughout the Sabbath. Similar closures are planned for the Succot holiday.
The Erez Crossing has been a frequent target for Arab terrorists firing mortar shells from northern Gaza.
