Israel’s flower-growers say they have sold 20 million flowers in the two weeks leading up to Rosh HaShanah, the Jewish New Year.

The flower sales make up a fifth of that of the entire year and a 5 percent increase from last year.

Red was the most popular flower color, with Roses, Orchids and Bamboo in particular demand.
