The IDF soldier critically wounded in the rocket attack early Tuesday morning on the Zikim army base near Gaza is out of surgery and is reported in stable condition, according to hospital sources.
The soldier sustained shrapnel wounds to his head and one eye in the attack by Islamic Jihad terrorists.
Forty-five soldiers remained hospitalized Tuesday as a result of the attack, including two who are listed in serious condition and nine others in fair condition, several of whom suffered trauma to their heads, chests and abdomens, in addition to shrapnel wounds.
