Hamas terrorists said on Saturday that IDF troops, dressed as Arabs themselves, entered Gaza sometime Friday and kidnapped a senior terrorist, said to be directly involved with the kidnapping of Corporal Gilad Shalit in June of 2006. The terrorist was nabbed in the Rafiah area and whisked across the border into Israel, where, they said, he was being held. The terrorist, Muhawash Nuimat Al-Qadi, was until recently also one of the top chiefs of the Al Aqsa Brigades, responsible for much of the Kassam fire against southern Israel.
According to a witness, Al-Qadi was nabbed at a junction near Rafiah. The witness said the terrorist was driving towards the junction and was forced to make a turn when the road was blocked by a van that had broken down. After he turned, an old man appeared and fell down on the road in front of his car. He exited the car to check on the old man, when a number of individuals dressed as Hamas terrorists appeared and escorted him away – apparently to Israel.
