IDF officials announced Thursday night that a group of Islamic Jihad and Fatah terrorists had tried to kidnap a soldier earlier in the day. The group opened fire on soldiers from two jeeps at the Kissufim crossing. Soldiers responded with fire, and shortly afterwards six of the terrorists were killed in an IAF airstrike.
Some of the terrorists managed to crawl out of one of the vehicles and escape. Soldiers are searching the area.
