Security and military officials have carried out the arrests of 27 Arabs who have been terrorizing Israeli motorists on Highway 443 between Jerusalem, south of Ramallah, and Modi'in. The aim of the rock throwers is to strike the driver and force him to lost control of his vehicle. Stone throwing has increased sharply in the past several months since the government ordered the IDF to ease travel restrictions on Arab drivers.

Despite the arrests, another incident was reported north of Ramallah in the past hour, causing damage to the vehicle but no injuries.
