Hamas has declared that public prayer in Gaza are banned following Fatah’s call to move Friday Muslim prayers to the streets in a show of defiance against the Islamist group.

The Hamas Palestinian Clerics Federation, in a press release, said that Fatah had used the gatherings to create “chaos and sedition”

Protesters clashed with Hamas armed men the last two Fridays.
