IDF to Resume Targeted Killings of Islamic Jihad Men

The IDF was ordered Tuesday by the government to resume its policy of targeted killings against senior Islamic Jihad terrorists, according to Army Radio. Government officials said the IDF would target those who give the orders to attack Israelis as well as those who carry them out.

The decision followed a barrage of nine Kassam rocket attacks on Sderot and surrounds, fired Monday by Islamic Jihad terrorists in northern Gaza. One of the rockets slammed into a courtyard meters away from a day care center, damaging the house next door. Another rocket exploded on a street in the center of the city.  Adults suffering from shock were treated by medics at the scene, but 12 children had to be taken to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon, also to be treated for shock.
