According to the Jerusalem Post, MK Yisrael Hasson (Yisrael Beiteinu) wrote a letter to singer Marina Maximilian-Bluming last week advising her to join the IDF.  Maximilian-Bluming was defeated by IDF soldier Boaz Mauda on Channel’s 2’s popular “Kochav Nolad” (A Star is Born) competition.

Maximilian-Bluming was ranked in first place by the program’s judges, but defeated in the viewers’ vote.  MK Hassan told her the audience “has a hard time supporting draft-dodgers,” and told her that joining the IDF or participating in national service would help her future career.
