IDF soldiers shot and injured a terrorist in central Shechem Saturday night. The terrorist belonged to a cell run jointly by Fatah and the PFLP, security sources said. The terrorist had been involved in a long series of attempted bombings of Israeli civilian and IDF vehicles, the sources said.
Earlier, soldiers arrested seven leftists who had joined a mob of rioting Arabs at the village of Zara, outside Shechem. The mob had been attempting to tear down an IDF roadblock, and had been throwing stones at the soldiers.
